1. Active account data
- Account profile and cloud saves — while the account is active and until deletion is completed.
- Active authentication sessions — up to 30 days; revoked and expired sessions are periodically removed.
- Patreon entitlement data — while linked and for up to 24 months afterward for reconciliation and dispute handling.
- AI usage ledger — up to 24 months for allowances, abuse prevention, cost reconciliation, and audits.
2. Community and communications
- Published posts and comments — until deleted, moderated, or anonymized after an account deletion request where lawful.
- Community moderation and administrator audit events — up to 36 months, or longer when needed for an active safety, fraud, or legal matter.
- Account inbox and support/privacy requests — up to 36 months after closure, subject to legal claims and mandatory retention.
3. Legal records
- Terms and age-acknowledgement receipts — up to 6 years after the relationship or dispute ends, subject to applicable limitation periods.
- Financial, refund, chargeback, and tax evidence — for the period required by applicable accounting, tax, payment, and consumer laws.
- Security evidence — only as long as reasonably necessary to investigate and prevent abuse or comply with law.
4. Exceptions and deletion
Periods are maximum operational targets, not a promise to retain every record for that duration. Data may be deleted sooner when no longer needed, or retained longer when preservation is required for law, safety, fraud prevention, legal claims, or a valid authority request. Backups may expire on a delayed rotation.
